ONE WEEK DANCE COMPANY is a Danish pop up dance company.
The overall mission for the Company is to strengthen the Danish dance environment for young talented dancers by bringing them together and supporting them with new experiences and confidence. The Company is popping up on different locations for one week where they work and explore together.
The Company is created by handpicked danish dancers from all over Denmark and abroad.
The Company is under artistic leadership of choreographer Lene Bonde.
In summer 2018 ONE WEEK was collaborating with Skolerne i Oure – Sport & Performing Arts and performed with Oure Dance Academy in Tivoli Copenhagen. The company also created the video FÅ MIG VÆK.
In summer 2019 ONE WEEK was popping up at The Danish Talent Academy in Holstebro and trained at Balletskolen Holstebro. The end of the week the company performed at a venue with VerdensBalletten at Nørre Vosborg.
In summer 2020 ONE WEEK was supported by Kulturpuljen Vejle, Spinderihallerne and Grejsdalens Efterskole, where they created a site specific performance called BYRUM and the video FOR MIG, which was filmed at Fjordenhus.
